Elizabeth Garland is an established writer, having written fiction from an early age. As a long-time academic, Garland also published numerous scholarly works, including journal articles and an award-winning book.
During her lengthy career as a professor and university administrator, she became thoroughly cognizant of the attitudes and politics of campus life. Her academic research pursued questions related to law and human rights. In her first mystery novel, The Country of the Blind, and in her second novel, Some Trick of Mischief, she transfers her research interests to a fictional setting and displays her intimate knowledge of the university environment and culture. Elizabeth Garland is retired and lives in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. |
